Crystal Glass painting - Beautiful Red Roses

Here is my first try on something new to glass painting. This is mostly known to everyone but i have tried Crystal glass painting for the first time.

It was a bit confusing for me when i saw its pictures for the first time on a website, so thought of trying out from my side. The materials used were simple as of glass painting itself just an extra thing used were crystal glass pieces.

Materials used:
1. Glass (size as per your design)
2. Crystal pieces
3. Glue
4. Design for tracing
5. Glass paint colours
6. Black glass liner

How to make:

1. Just as you do normal glass painting trace design on glass using black glass liner.

2. If the designs has different portions then it will be more easier and more attractive. So apply glue on each portions and paste the crystal pieces on them.
After you apply the crystal pieces colour them as per the design. Follow the procedure as per the picture shown.

Crystal-Glass-pieces-outline-design

3. The same procedure applies to the whole design.

4. If you want you can do this technique only on flowers and do the normal glass painting for the other parts like leaves and all, this can give a different effect on your painting.

5. This way try out this new technique on glass painting. When i tried out i never thought this can turn out so amazing.

Friends, I would like to get suggestions for this painting technique as this is just a trial from my side. So if anyone thinks there can be different method for crystal glass painting feel free to share with me.

Here is my completed painting technique.

Hi Reshmi,

Hi Reshmi,

A very innovative idea, I loved the painting. I want to use same technique but i there are some qs that are bugging me.
1. What kind of crystals to use
2. Which glue to use
3. When I make glass painting, I paint the back side, but how to proceed in case of crystals. Is crystal surface in front

Hi Sowmya,

THere is no size defination of crstals.. thy dont even have particulare shapes.. its just like normal btokem crystal pieces.. as you do a normal glass painting draw the outline and apply fevicol on it the design thn stick these crystals pieces on fevicol..

Thanx,
Reshmi

Hi Aditi,

Thanx for commenting.. I'm happy you liked my work..
As uasked:
1. U can get crystal pieces anywhere it looks like small glass pieces.. thy r trandparent.

2. I use fevicol for sticking these crystal pieces.

3. Its the same procedure as glass painting.. the only difference is u apply fevicol to the area where u normally use and stick crystal pieces and thn apply glass colour above the pieces.

If you still find difficult, u can write to me..

Thanx,
Reshmi

Hi Reshmi,

I recently started learning glass painting. Whenever i search for some glass painting pictures in google, i can always see ur pics in the search..;)

Jus one tip... 2weeks back, they taught us this crystal work on glass. I guess applying fevicol is not required. just arrange the glass pieces as per the design and pour glass paint over them.. once the paint dries, crystals stick by themselves. Jus give a try. Anyways u know more tips. I am just a starter.

Can you just send me that rose flowers pattern and also any other patterns of that sort so that I can do more with crystals.

Regards,
Sujana.
