Quilled Teddy Bear and colourful flowers

Friends...!!! As promised to you all here comes my favourite quilling craft with a cool waving Teddy and colourful garden of flowers.

This took me two months to complete. To complete the Teddy it took almost 250 fringed flowers, the wall was made of 120 quilled bricks and then goes the beautiful flowers to complete the garden. Those are just some random mixture of quilled and fringed flowers and a husking Sunflower to complete the garden.

Firstly the wall was made, then the gate for the Teddy to peep, arranged flowers in a way to make the garden look colourful and filled, then the brown fringed Waving Teddy to complete the frame.

I used 10mm strips for the teddy as we need to do fringed flowers for it, the walls and flowers were 5mm strips.

So, now you all can have a look at the completed Quilled Teddy Bear Frame.

Got up in the morning suddenly and thought of blogging, that definitely meant i was sleeping these months. Yes friends...!!! I'm back from the loooong vacation. Its not that i have stopped doing crafts, its just that less of time, more of laziness and loosing of my Camera made me crazy and forget my beautiful little blog and my great fans.

I'm would like to thank those who still visit my blog regularly even if there are no updates.

People are behind me for some glass painting designs and apart from that there lot of them screaming, shouting and abusing me for not sharing GLASS PAINTING DESIGNS with all. Just would like to suggest you all if you browse through internet you can get thousands of free sites providing designs. FYI to all i would be sharing some great sites where you can get some really good designs.

I have made some really good crafts these days, to begin with my favo Quilling craft, i made a Teddy bear frame, I made Wedding Tiara for my friend who will be getting married on 3rd of December, some beautiful tissue paper flowers.
On a big note i'll be going to start with Kerala Mural paintings also.

Will be sharing all my work soon, as i got a new camera now. Need all your support as earlier.

A busy schedule is making my blog incomplete :( I wont be disheartened will keep on posting as and when i find time. To all my readers, thanks for all your support and comments till now.

With regards to huge request on my glass painting work, I'm posting one more of my glass work. A floral patterns to go on. This was done a month back, a beautiful glass design with a black background.

Now to let you all know about the black background, its not painted. After completing the glass painting, i had a cut out of the design in white paper which was then pasted on the backside of the design, below that a black card paper was pasted which completed the picture.

So, after a long break friends do have a look at this beautiful glass painting.

A new life..... A new begining.....!!!!!

After long two months I'm back to my blogging world, just not blogging world a new world with a new life.

Yes, I'm getting back to my normal life after a long one month of married life. A life filled with fun, excitement & lot of responsibilities. Learning of new things each passing day makes me feel great at the same time missing my parents.

Staying far from your parents is not an easy task.. What more to say, thats life.. :)) But, lucky to have good in-laws to live a happy life.

On my wedding day with my sweet little friend. The one who stood with me in all my ups and downs, who stood with me when i needed the most. Thanx a ton SWAP for being with me, stay the way you are.. Love you a lot.

Peacock Rangoli Designs for Diwali

HAPPY DIWALI TO ALL OF YOU...!!!

The festival of lights are back again and and even i'm back with a beautiful rangoli design for Diwali.

Diwali is one of the biggest festival of Hindus, celebrated with great enthusiasm and happiness in India. Colorful varieties of fireworks, Different colourful lamps are always associated with this festival. On this day, people light up diyas and candles all around their house.

This was made in my office premises for Diwali.

Quilling Poppies and Daisies Flowers

Now here is a beautiful frame work of quilled poppies and daisies i was making. It took me almost 2 months to complete it, but my efforts were worth it and was happy completing this frame work.

There are almost 1000 shapes in this frame to make these flowers and leaves.
Teardrop shapes to make white daisies and marquises shapes to make poppies flower and leaves.

Each poppy flowers has almost 70-100 marquises shapes depending on the size of the flower.

To stick these assembled flowers and leaves to the hardboard i used Silicon rubber solution rather than normal fevicol.

Now here is my work, do comment how is it.

Making 3D quilled white mouse

Helloo everybody, back to my posting again. I know it's really bad of me that i do not update my blog regularly. I'm really tied up a lot with my job.

In between there was a big day in my life, yes..!!! I got engaged last month, all these kept me busy from posting anything. Now I'm writing again with a new quilling work. I tried out a new little 3D quilled mouse.

Would like to thank Inna for her superb work, I also tried this cute little mouse looking at her work.

Inna if you read my blog, I'm a regular visitor of your blog and love all your quilling creations. You really do wonders with those paper strips.So, here you inspired me to make this mouse and my trial was amazing enough.

Now for all you readers:

All you need is some white paper strips of 3mm.

Take 2 full strips and make grape roll out of it.

Stick both grape rolls together, the busy of your mouse is ready.

Now make ears with 3/4 th strip of white paper, make a tight circle and give a leaf shape to it.

Stick those ears. Take 3 piece 1 inch black strip and make 3 tight circles for eyes and nose.

Stick all these together and form your mouse.

Take a 4 inch white strip troll it over a toothpick to get a spiral shape, then stick it as mouse tail.

Wasn't that simple to make this cute little mouse.

How to make figures with shells?

Something new this time :) You all might be thinking where am i diapprearing in between, i'm really tied up with my work. there are lot of things am doing currently and needs to be updated, but its not completed yet.

I am on my way to some awesome quilling projects, i hope i get enough time to complete and upload it soon.

Anyways, let us keep the quilling aside and see something new, not very new to who already know about it, but its new for me as i'm doing it for the first time.

Materials you need:

1) Shells (Any of your choice)
2) Silicone sealant / Fevicol
3) Fabric colours

How to make it:

There is not much to explain how to make these beautiful figures, you just need is to decide what you want to make and then get some shells of the desired shapes and sizes.

Use silicone sealant and start sticking shells as per your figure or anything that you wish to make.

Use fabric colurs to give glow to your shell figures. Use the colurs to make it more lively.

So enjoy making this simple shell figures. I hope evryone will try this our for sure :)

How to do Rock painting?

Dear Friends, How are you all.. ??

Thank you all a lot for checking my blog regularly even if you didn't find any thing new in it.. Now today I'm back with new thing which i tried it for the first time, its rock painting.

Firstly thanks to "PRACHI" for giving me a chance to do something new. She got me a small rock to write her name on it and i turned out the stone to a different thing with her name on it. So, Prachi you can use it as a paper weight also as i know HEWITT does not have papers there, everything is system operated.. "HAHAHAHA"

So jokes apart, this was a very new thing tried out by me.

Materials used:

1) Rock (Any shape / size)
2) Fabric / Poster colours
3) Beads (optional)
4) Varnish

How to start with :

1) Choose any design you want to paint and do the magic with your brush

2) If you are not good with painting you can stick some charming beads to it.

3) Here I wrote a name to it and some simple florals added with beads to make it a bit more attractive, some sparkles also added.

Hope you all will try it out and will like this too :)

Making Duplex paper flowers-Valentine Roses

Happy Valentines day to all who are in love..!!!
And Happy Independence day to all who are single...!!!

Finally the day has come. Lot of gifts and flowers all over. So here i came along with some real looking Duplex paper rose flowers.

This was just like any other flower making tutorial, was much simple to make and looks so real. True lovers who do not want their flowers can make their own flowers and gift it. Funny but true fresh looking paper flowers are also worth gifting itself.

Anyways the tutorial is much simple. All u need to do is cut a heart shape paper for petals (6 cms each) and then give some curves to the two ends of the shape. Your petal is ready, now just keep on arranging it one after the other to form the flower.

In this way you can have a simple and sweet bundle of flowers. Enjoy making it.

Stain glass Painting patterns - Birds

After a month of long break I'm back with a new post on glass painting, yes a stain glass painting.

Firstly sorry to everyone for not having regular posts now a days. This is coz of my new job and long travelling hours, due to which i cannot find time to have any new work. Still I'm on process with a new quilling project, which will be seen soon.

Here now I'm posting a cute little stained glass painting. My first trial on stained glass, it came out quite well. And one more thing I'll try my best to have one post a week for sure so that you can all enjoy new work and learn new things too.

Recycle craft Bottle cap ceiling lamp

Friends, i was quite busy these days with new office atmosphere. Yes, i changed my job and now in this new company quite busy with training and work. Late to home so could not find time for any updates. Thought of wishing you all a "Merry Christmas" yesterday but, unfortunately my Internet connection got into some trouble and was not working.

Anyways promise you to keep on updating once in a week for sure. This time i tried out this wonderful recycle craft which i was planning to do long back. Now sharing with you all as soon as i found time and completed my work.

This is a ceiling lamp made of plastic bottle caps. I used almost 120-150 caps of Bisleri bottle to make this lamp.

All you need is a round piece of hard board nylon thread and some beads around 120- 150 as per your caps. Take the nylon thread as per the length and make holes on the caps and move cap and bead alternatively and now tie this on the hard board my making a hole on it.

How to make stocking Tulip flowers?

Sorry everyone for late updates again.

This time I'm here with stocking tulip flowers.
Firstly a big "THANKS" to the person who send me this video of making tulip flowers out of stocking material and here i tried my hands on it.

These tulips look extremely beautiful after making them as per instructions. Earlier i tried making tulips but not with the help of this video. may be coz for wrong way of making it looked like some other flower :)

So now with a proper making method I'm here to share this with you all.

Back after a long vacation...!!!!

Friends..!!!
I was on a long vacation this time. Was having fun in Kerala and Bangalore. This was after a long time i was going to my native place and was completely relaxed.
Sorry.. as i couldn't tell you all before leaving. I left to Kerala on 9th Nov and was back to Mumbai on 27th Nov.

This time i really enjoyed my vacation. All time roaming around with relatives and cousins.. Enjoyed the cool climate and was very relaxing. This time i got chance to see more places in Kerala as we did spend more time there.

I was in Blanglore for the first time and i just loved the city. Unfortunately, i couldn't spend much days there... Anyways better luck next time.

So, my vacations got over and now back to the busy schedule.

Now you will see some more new craft coming up..

I got these ready shells and a wooden photo frame. And then the photo frame was decorated with these fancy shells.

How to make 3D Quilled Rose flowers

There was lot of things that i did in quilling, but never tries out a rose like flower. This time i tried out paper quilled Roses, I learnt this technique from the Quilling book i got recently.

Yes, the book helped me to learn new techniques in quilling. And here comes this beautiful quilled rose made by me.

I had seen lot of paper Quilled roses and used to wonder how can this be made. And see this i made it finally.

I had to try hard to make this. You just need is the quilling tool and 10mm quilling paper strip to make this beautiful 3D Quilled roses.

However, as i learnt from the book i wont be proper with explaining how to make as the quilled roses needs picture instructions.
So, here is a video for you to learn how to make Quilled paper roses.

Too much of Diya now. So a little bit of change in Diwali, here i'm with Rangoli patterns for Diwali.

Diwali festival of lights, we decorate our home with all possible things we can. So rangoli is also one of the major things that we look out for at the time of Diwali.

Quilled Diwali Diya patterns ideas

Friends, you might have seen all of my work on diya which is painted and decorated which lot of colours.

Today I'm bringing you a different diya decoration, yes a quilled diya with quilled Rose and some dried leaves decorated to it.

Yes this diya was a different one i did, i was planning to have Warli painting on this diya which changed my mind to do something different other than just painting on it, So here is my new quilled Diya which is I'm very sure quite different from all Diya.

Designing Diwali Diya ideas patterns

As i promised i'm back today with more diya designs and patterns. I just loved doing these diyas.

I still have 2 more diyas left with me to decorate it. Till then as i told you all i'll be showing you all new diya designs.

For any of the diyas i didnt use any mirrors or lace or any stones to it.. Its completely painted.

One more thing, you may have a doubt that the colour will go when we light Diya. Its obvious that you might see a slight change to the colour but it wont completely go off.

To fix the colour to diya and reuse it. You can apply varnish after to paint the diya so that the colour wont go and the Diya can be used in the same manner.

So friends enjoy this new post on Decorating diya. Will come up with more for Diwali.

A leaf shaped diya which is the most simple one among these decorated ones. I have just coloured it with green colour and a golden yellow ouline.

Making colourful Diwali Diya Designs

Hey friends, its Diwali time. I hope everyone is busy with cleaning and shopping and preparing some mouth watering dishes.

The same with me as i was busy making some beautiful looking diya for this Diwali.
I made this little two diyas this time.

I got some plain diya which is easily available in market and coloured it using acrylic colours and some tube colours.

The colour combination you use matters when you paint a diya. You can do anything to a plain diya. If you are not good with colours and painting then try out using some shells, mirrors, lace etc.

I'm sure everyone liked the diyas i made last year. Look out for my last year's work on Diya Decoration for Diwali.

Making quilled heart shaped flowers

After some long gap back with quilling techniques. I was just guessing you all will be bored of lot of quilling posts by me. There were days when i only used to post on quilling, so just had a change for sometime a long break was given to all quilling crafts.

Now after the break I'm back with this cute little simple quilled flowers. This is much simple heart shaped flowers. These flowers are just clubbed up together and made a bouquet not difficult to make but the outcome is really pretty.

Here i made just some heart shaped red flowers and then green stems attached to it.
and tied it to a small piece of paper strip.

Dandiya Stick Decoration

Friends after some more long break back with a little decoration technique. If you all remember i had a competition last year at the time of Navratri Festival, it was Matka Decoration competition at my office.

So, the same continues this time also, but to be different we had Dandiya Stick decoration competition for which i stood "Second" this time and was much happier with my Dandiya stick.

I was a bit late to upload this, but still now you can have a look at it.

We were asked to decorate the stick anyway and was supposed to make it as much as attractive as possible.

So, here comes my stick with lot of Kundan stones, Golden lace, mirror and some beads.

Here is the first portion covered with Bandhani cloth and Golden lace and Kundan stones and all those possible decoration items.

The second half part the basic handle part decorated with Golden lace.

And now here is the completed Dandiya Stick.

Making Duplex paper Lotus Flowers

Back again..!!! My search on Origami papers are still on. Actually people here doesn't even know what kind of papers they are. Anyways i got some information from Nithya about Origami papers now available in Mumbai. I'm surly gonna try getting those papers.

But after seeing a video on Origami paper Lotus flowers i was so eager that i could not wait till i get those Origami papers. So i tried out making this little Lotus flower using Duplex paper. Duplex paper was anyways a good substitute for Origami papers.

However, It came out quite good even with Duplex paper.

I'll be back with more of such paper flowers when i get Origami papers.

Making Duplex paper Speaker Flowers

After a long time back with paper flower making. Here i did a very simple but really good looking speaker flowers.

Making of Speaker flowers were quite simple even for one who has never made any flower try out this one.

Materials:
1. Duplex paper
2. Pollens / pips
3. Green Tape
4. Flower making thread
5. Aluminium wire

Method:

1. First cut triangle piece of duplex paper and stretch the edges of the paper to give a slight curve.

2. Apply glue on one end and stick the other end to it. You will get a cone shape of flower, stretch the edges again fine to get the curve of flower.

3. Take some pollens / pips and attach it to the aluminium wire.

4. Now pass on the wire through the cone shaped flower and tie it tightly.

5. Now cover the rest wire using green tape.

And here is my simple beautiful flower ready.

Making Sponge Flowers - White Roses

Back with one more interesting craft. Making flowers using Sponge. These sponge flowers are done earlier by me, but those were different quality of sponge. It was plastic sponge. You can check out those Making white sponge flowers.

Here is the normal sponge that we all know. So now i have made cute little roses out of these normal sponge material:

Materials needed:

1. Sponge (Any colour)
2. Aluminium wire
3. Thread
4. Green tape

Method:

1. Take a rectangle piece of sponge of and fold it into half lengthwise

2. Take a piece of aluminium wire and wrap the folded sponge over the wire in circular motion.

3. Tie the sponge using thread and wrap it with green wire.

Sounds simple right ?? And yes it is really simple.

Queries on ceramic mural art materials

My ceramic mural is still my favorite and i guess all my visitors favorite too.
I'm getting lot of mails and comments for my Ceramic mural work.

Now, I have received similar kind of comments and mails asking for what exactly is whitening powder and DINK and where are these materials available.

1. About whitening powder its easily available in hardware stores. As for just normal Whitening powder. You can also use ceramic powder as a substitute instead of whitening powder.

2. About DINK i have mentioned in details about what is DINK in my post on Making Ceramic Mural Art - African Mask. I know this name as DINK, this is proper Indian name.

You can get Dink easily available in Grocery stores. If anyone gets it and has a different name for DINK please do let me know.
So that I'll be sharing it with everyone .

Anyhow i would desperately like to try this out, unfortunately i could not get Origami papers here. So, my search is in progress. Still i would like to share this beautiful video with you all.

Making Ceramic Flowers Photo Frame

Hi friends, I hope you are all not bored of reading my Ceramic posts on daily basis. Anyways here is one more of my work with Ceramic material.

This time the materials and method are all the same itself. The only difference is its made on a photo frame.

Yes a nice little photo frame for anyone you would like to gift.
This was a plane wooden photo frame beautifully decorated with ceramic made Casa Lilly flowers and some uncut stones.

This dough can be kept for long time if its maintained properly by binding it in wet cloth.

So here is the photo frame made by me. This was a gift again.

So friends how is the work? Ceramic work is always something new when its done on new materials. :)

This is Casa Lilly flowers made of Ceramic dough. Was i quite simple work but looked very elegant.

Frame arranged with flowers and uncut stones.

I'm very happy to see such good response for my Mural work.

This was my first big project that too something different on what i was doing these days. Thanks to all of you who appreciated my work and a special thanks to my brother and sister who loved my work and supported me to do more of such work.

Making Ceramic Mural Art - African Mask

Hello everyone, as i promised I'm here back with the Ceramic Mural work.
I'm so happy that i completed my work and this was a gift to my sister. She is very much happy with my gift.

This work took almost 2 months to complete because of lot of delays and all. Anyways i felt very happy to see the completed work.

I would also be happy to share my Ceramic work with you all. This is a kind of an African art form with African masks and the real effect textures and all.

I hope you all will enjoy this work a lot.

So lets start with the tutorials. I hope you all wont be bored with the tutorials as its a too long one.

Materials used:

1. Whitening powder
2. DINK adhesive
3. Fevicol (White Glue)

If you have referred to my post on How to do Ceramic work on Cup?you might come to know what is DINK and the procedure to make it. But still i will let you know what DINK is all about.

DINK is edible gum crystals are available in small pieces especially meant for eating after being cooked. Brownish variety DINK is basically used for adhesive purpose.

You need to get 1kg of DINK grind it properly and make fine powder out of it. Now soak the powder in water. The water level and DINK powder level should be same, check out the next day and you can find it sticky and highly adhesive.

This was all he making of Ceramic dough.

Now to start with the actual making of Mural base. The Ceramic Mural base is made of plywood. I have used a reference for making the base. Using the base some cutout were made for the shapes and the same were cut on plywood.

Now arrange all those plywood pieces using hammer and nail. Yes some bit of Carpenter work too. :)

After you finish doing the base for plywood. Take Ceramic dough in required quantity and make it flat round any shape and plly it on the plywood shaped pieces.

Make sure you remove the excess quantity the comes out of the plywood pieces and the dough should be pasted on the all the pieces, or as you wish on some pieces.
On rest of the plywood pieces we can do some cone work as i did in some of the shapes.

Now I have the completed work. I can explain you what I did to get these effects. The colours are black, copper and golden colour effects.

Here i used some coloured stones on the middle big piece. The texture for four stick pieces on back side of Sun is some used doing old pen and toothpicks and just small quantity of ceramic pieces on the stick the and toothpicks.

Here the mask is made using a mask mould and some hand detailing too done to it.

One more mask using mould. This was the smallest mask i made for this mural.

Here the impressions are used with the help of some local tools. Let me tell you i used here is all kind of refills. Yes pen refills and unused pen. Bottom of some refills looks like a flower shape those are some of the impressions.

Here the complete work is cone work on all pieces. One piece is complete shells. with some gold powder effect. And rest all are tools and cone work.

Here the impressions are using knife. When the ceramic is not completely wet and not dry too. You need to give all possible impressions. If you want you can also use comb as one of the tool.. For that you need to use wet ceramic. It should not be a complete dough, should be a bit loose.

Here is a complete cone work with mask effect.

These all make my completed Ceramic mural with all those African mask art on it.

Note: The dough you make can be used for at least six months if you use it properly. Make sure you don't keep it open at all. It should be kept in wet cloth in an Air tight container. This will make your dough last for long.

Going lazy...!!!

Hi everyone..!! You all might be wondering why am i not doing any posts regularly as i used to. Its just because i'm stressed out with lot of work. I got some murals , ceramic work and some good nib painting work to be completed. I'm not getting time as i got lot and lots of work at office, by the time i reach home i'm tired and not able to complete things as i could.

Anyways i promise you all i'll b coming back with all my new and exciting work with interesting tutorials. May be i can finish my Ceramic Mural work soon and can share those with you all.

Making white sponge flowers

A new work on flower making. After a gap I'm here with flower making. Majorly everyone is familiar with cloth flower making and paper flower making. Here is something new with Sponge flowers. Yes flowers made out of white sponge.

The technique of making is exactly the same the only difference is material, instead of cloth or paper you need is a sheet of sponge to make these beautiful little rose flowers.

All that you need is sheet of sponge, aluminium wire, thread and green tape.

How to do Ceramic work on Cup?

Here after a long time doing something on ceramic. I was just wondering on what should be the next things I'll be doing. As I'm making a Ceramic mural which is quite exciting for me as I'm doing it or the first time i thought of having a small ceramic work somewhere else too. So this time its a cup a normal looking plane cup.

I have done this ceramic work on cup which turned out amazingly too good.

This time ceramic does not have fevicol and all for mixing i used DINK. It is edible gum crystals are available in small pieces especially meant for eating after being cooked. It has 2 colour one clean white and brown. The brownish variety is basically used for adhesive purpose.

You need to get 1kg of DINK grind it properly and make fine powder out of it. Now soak the powder in water. The water level and DINK powder level should be same, now check out the next day and you can find it sticky and highly adhesive.

Materials used:

1. Whitening powder
2. DINK adhesive
3. Fevocil (White Glue)

How to make the dough:

1. Firstly take some amount of DINK and add 2tbsp of Fevicol (white glue)according to that add the same proportion of Whitening powder.

2. Mix all the three together nicely and make a dough. Proper soft dough.

3. To keep this dough last longer you need to keep it covered in a wet cloth inside an Air tight container.

4. Now take the required dough and make any shapes and designs you need and use it on any surface and make a beautiful looking ceramic work.

How to make Golden Tree ?

Hi, I know its quite long i have not updated anything. There were lot of things happening and that made me a bit lazy to do things and update anything. It's after long time i came up with somethings and started blogging again.

So here I'll be sharing with you on how to make Golden Tree. It was easy to make and looks really pretty.

Materials to be used to make Golden Tree.

1. Golden Wires
2. Beads (colourful or any single colour)
3. Golden Leaves

You can you anything to decorate the golden tree. You will even get a ready kit to make golden tree with leaves and beads.

Procedure:

1. Fold the golden wires around 10-15 of equal length into half and twist it in the bottom, now u'll have 20-30 branches.

2. Now take 5-6 branches equally from all sides and twist the remaining leaving a small gap or around 1cm gap.

3. Spread the branches equally and in each branch twist beads and leaves alternatively according to your wish.

4.Repeat the same method for the remaining branches.

5. Now divide the bottom into 3 equal parts and twist them and make it look like the tree stand.

With these simple 5 steps you can make a beautiful golden tree.
Here is my golden tree with golden leaves, beads and red colour fruits added to it.

How to make Kundan Flowers?

Friends have you ever thought you can make some different things out of Kundan stones other than some pretty jewellery or some Kundan work on dress and Saree's.

I have never thought of any use of these kundan stones other than jewellery and work on cloth. But that's not all you can actually make some pretty show pieces out of these stones, yes you can make kundan flowers out of these stones. and here is one more of my trial on new work on Kundan beads flowers.

Now how to make it and materials required:

Materials:
1. Kundan stones/beads (different colours)
2. Golden wire (flower making wire)
3. Green tape

How to start with:

1. Firstly cut a piece of golden wire as per the length required by you.

2. You can see there are two holes on either sides of the Kundan stones/ beads

3. Insert the wire into the holes from back side of the stone, fold the wire and twist it.

4. This forms one petal and in the similar way make 5-6 petals as you need to make one flower.

5. After your petals are ready hold them aligned together and twist the remaining part of the wire and open the petals slowly and form a flower shape.Twist the wires
tightly and form the stem of flowers.

6. Now Now stick green tape around the stem.

7. Similarly make more such flowers and arrange them beautifully.

Sounds simple ..!! and yes it is simple to make such good looking show flowers.

Quilling patterns - Quilled Accessories Clip

Thought of doing something more new in quilling and here i made a hair clip out of these simple paper strips.

It was not much difficult to make quilled hair clip and it came out really pretty.

I got a normal hair clip removed all those show things out of it and made it into a plane normal clip.

Now take 3" long yellow strips made it into teardrop shapes. Attach 5 teardrop to make one flower and 1" tight circle to make the flower center. In the same way make 5-6 flowers according to the clip size.

Now stick those flowers to the clip and your beautiful smart quilled clip is ready to use.
So try out this new creation in quilling and impress everyone by your own handmade clip.

Quilling Craft - Quilled Wall Clock

Here is something new in quilling craft which i made today. Here is a new quilled wall clock.

This was just a normal clock from which i had to remove all the needles and everything had to be taken out from the clock and i made it just a piece of plastic.

Here i had used a white mount board, cut it to the size of the round shaped clock.
Stick the mount board over it and make any kind of design you need to show it as clock.

Here it is like i made 4 red flowers to show as time 12.00, 3.00, 6.00, 9.00 and you can think of anything like this to show those timings proper perfect.

So this is my new creation in quilling. As for first time it didn't turn out that good, but for the first try cant be considered good.

Making stocking cloth butterflies pattern

Hi friends, back with a new butterfly. I hope you all got it. My earlier post got a little butterfly with yellow wings, that was my first try in making a stocking butterfly which came out good but was not that neat and perfect as it need to be.

So here is my second try on making a stocking butterfly which was actually a perfect one and a neat one compared to the first, so i am much more happy in making this cute little white butterfly.

So here is my new butterfly with small little round wings and cute little orange body with aluminium wire antenna fixed to it.

You can fix this anywhere on your room or make cards or to gift boxs or anything.

How to make stocking butterflies

Friends here I'm back with a new post and that too not about quilling craft, this is stocking craft. I have earlier done a post on stocking flower Flower Making - Colourful Stocking flowers, you can check to know the making of stockings.

In my post Flower Making - Colourful Stocking flowers you can learn the proper technique and also the instructions will be much easier for you all to try out new techniques in stocking craft.

So here is tried out making a stocking butterfly. As this was my first try in making butterfly I'm very much happy with the results. You need to use the same technique as of stocking flowers. Aluminium wire needs to be turned into butterflies wings shape as needed.

I'll be posting more butterflies of different varieties and will be sharing with you all. I hope you all will like this one, awaiting your valuable comments and suggestions.

How to make Kusudama Flower ball

Kusudama paper flower is an ancient old Japanese craft. These are Origami paper shapes glued together. These are basically used for decorations.

I have here made this kusudama ball as good decorative piece. Here i explained step by step method for kususdama flower making. I hope you all will enjoy this new technique.

Materials required:
1. Origami paper (any colour)
2. Glue

Method:

1. First of all you need to cut around 60 square pieces each of 7cm x7cm.

2. Here is the first step after you cut the first square piece. Fold the bottom corner to the top. You will get a triangle shape by this.

3. Fold the left and right corners up to the middle corner and make a square shape.

4. Fold the same points down. Do the same folding to both sides.

5. Open up the flaps and flatten them. Flatten both the sides equally.

6. Fold the top triangles towards you so they are level with the edges of the paper.

7. Fold the triangles back using the crease you made earlier and glue the outside triangles together ans you will again get a square shape.

8. Now fold the two together and glue it.

Similarly make 5 petals for one flowers. Glue all together and make a flower. Similarly make 12 such flowers.

Now glue each flowers one by one to the petal and make half circle. This way you will make 2 half balls.

Here is the way to make Kusudama ball.

Quilling pattern - Husking earrings design

Today i am back with a new technique on quilling. I'm here with husking pattern on quilling.

Huskings are made by winding paper around a pattern of straight pins. I have some the pattern of husking and step by step method on how to make husking.
I hope you all will enjoy the new technique.

Basic steps for husking.

1. Get a trace paper where you can make the dotted points. See the picture below.

2. Place pins on each holes as shown.

3. Using a length of paper, gently crease one end and “hook” it around the pin numbered 1.
Bring paper up and wind around pin number 2 and then back down to pin number 1. Glue where the paper overlaps at pin number 1.

5. Bring paper up and wind around pin number 3 and then back down to pin number 1. Glue where the paper overlaps at pin number 1.

6. Bring paper up and wind around pin number 4 and then back down to pin number 1.

7. Bring paper up and wind around pin number 4 and then back down to pin number 1.

8. In the same way continue to wind up and bring back to pin number 1 from pin 6 and pin 7. It should look this way.

9. After you finish this roll the strip starting from pin number 1 roll on each points and bring back to pin number 1.

In this way you will get the completed husking pattern.

Now you can decorate any thing with this patter or make greeting cards or some cool earrings just like the one i made.

Making 3D paper quilling pattern

So more on quilling and More new and tough work on quilling. Yes if everyone is ready to learn the next level in quilling here is the 3D quilled pattern for you all.

Will share the measurements with you.
1. Body : take 10mm 5 full strips and make a tight circle out of it. After making tight circle push the circle outside to make it into cone shape.

2. Hands and Legs : Take 10mm 2 strips and make a tight circle out of it. After making tight circle push the circle outside to make it into cone shape.

3. Cap : Take 10mm two coloured strip and quill it together to make a tight circle. After making tight circle push the circle outside to make it into cone shape.

4. Head : Take 3mm 4 strips and make tight circles in the similar way make one more of the same measurement. After the tight circle push it to the outer portion slightly as grape roll and stick both sides together to make head.

5. Hairs : Take 10mm 10 strips of 1 1/2cm each and fringe it in lengthwise and curl it slightly. Stick one end of the hair to the cap from inside. Now stick the cap to the head properly.

6. Fringed Flowers : Make 3 fringed flowers to stick to the body and 1 at the tip of the body.

7. Shoes : Make eccentric circles for shoes ans tick it to the legs cone.

8. Fingers : Draw fingers on a piece of paper and cut it out, then stick it to the hands.

By making these parts of body looking at the pics you will come to know how to arrange those parts.

Make Quilled eccentric circles design

As in the previous post I have asked to make total of 36 eccentric circles shapes. That includes 30pcs 1/2 strip eccentric circles and 6pcs 1/3 strip circles.

Eccentric circles should be done in one colour any dark or light colour and tight circles in another colour. So I made eccentric designs in RED and tight circles in WHITE.

If everyone is done with these, now make the following shapes :
1. 12pcs teardrop shapes of 1/2 strip eccentric shapes.
2. 12pcs half circles or marquises shape of 1/2 strip eccentric circles.
3. 6pcs eccentric circles of 1/2 strip as it is (no other shapes).
4. 6pcs eccentric circles of 1/3 strip eccentric as it is.
5. 1 full strip tight circles (white or any light colour).
6. 30 tight circles of 1/4" each.

If you are ready with these shapes here is the arrangement for you. You can refer to this picture to know the arrangement.

How to make eccentric designs

As i promised i'm back with the start of making eccentric circles and designs patterns using quilling board.
It was simple to use quilling board.

First of all you need to understand the proper strip size and put on the proper circles. The instructions will be given on the quilling board box itself.

So to start with this design you will have to make 36 eccentric circle shapes.
So to start with first make 30 pieces of eccentric cirles usinf 1/2 strip and then 6 pieces eccentric circles using 1/3 strip. And approximately 30 tight circles.

I hope everyone is clear with the measurement. So everyone be ready with these shapes i'll be back with the rest to make.

So here are all the designs and pattern I had done for new quilliers. These simple design patterns will surly help you all in creating more of new and beautiful designs. These are the designs made by me in the start i can say to get more practise on the quilling shapes, arrangements and all.

If i say about quilling its a vast craft. It has no comparision with any other craft. You can create anything out of these simple paper strips, and take my words its anything you can create. I was inspired with lot of blogger doing this craft and thought of trying it out and now I'm loving this craft.

When i tried out for the first time i was not very impressed with this craft, but the day i got a comment from a very experienced quiller i was just so happy and that inspired me so much, then i carried the same attitude forward and tried out all new patterns and design i got from Internet. So very happy now quilling.

If you check my blog i have all recent posts with quilling. And yes i have tried lot of new things in this.
So you can expect more of new designs and patterns.

I hope you all liked the simple design pattern posted till now. Those are really useful for new quillers and one who likes making cards. And these designs are always useful for any kind of occassion. One more on flowers pattern. This a bit different as i used more of curls and leaves. New pattern in quilling i can say. Just a single flower on the corner of the card and rest decorated with curls pattern and leaves.

For the flower the petals placed alternatively are in different pattern as all the alternate petals are embossed but placing it a bit upwards. This really gave a different look to the whole card pattern.

How to make: Teardrop flowers: Make 5 teardrop of 2" each and stick together to make teardrop flower out of it. For teardrop bud make 3 teardrop shapes and stick it together.

Add stems and tight circles to the flower to complete the design. Simple greeting card, isn't it ?

Yes it is too simple. The mmost simple design in quilling i have ever makde. But still the beautiful one i can say.

There were lot of them who asked me for more quilling designs and patterns. So i came here with some simple patterns for everyone who will try out this amazong craft.

Quilling interesting desings is really becoming my hobby now. Even if you all try out you will also get addicted to this beautiful craft.

Try making new desings arrange it in different ways and enjoy this quilling work. Believe me you can create wonderful things out of this simple strips.

Here i tried out just scrolls pattern and loose cirles. Friends i am making these desings for you all who are new to quilling as these designs will be easy to you all for a good practice.

Here i used loose circles for flowers design and tight circle for the flower center, all strips are 2" in length.

Take half strip and make long scrolls to show as stems. For the pot also i made "S" scrolls to show as the flower pot. Two teardrop shape for hearts. So try out such simple designs and make lot of interesting designs and patterns in quilling.

Paper bouquet are as usual a beautiful craft. So here comes bouquet of paper quilling flowers.

To make these design all u need is good imagination and creativity. If you are creative enough you can make the same flowers and leaves and arrange it in a different way, may be a more beautiful way.

I will share with you the making of flowers:

Teardrop flowers (make 3): Take 2" dark colour strips and stick together 5 teardrop to make a flower.

Bunny ear flowers (make 2):Take 2" light colour strips and stick together 4 bunny ear shapes to make a flower.

Same way add some more bunny ear petals to the stems of paper strips and give a different look to the design.

I'll be surly trying out arranging the same flowers and leaves in a different way i hope even you all will try out.

Back again with some more different designs. I guess you all might be bored seeing the same floral designs everyday.

So thought of having a change today and would like to share a pair of Bunny with you all. If you are a regular visitor you might have seen my post Quilling craft designs- Bunny with Flowers where i have made bunny smelling flowers.

So this time the method to make bunny is the same, the difference is just that you need to make 2 bunnies and just one flower and some grass to add the natural effect for the playing little bunnies.

Making this pattern was the easiest of all i can say. If you notice you can see i have made the whole design just using teardrop shapes and hardly some tight circles only when needed. But the design is basically focused on teardrop shape.

Friends some more floral patterns for you all. i am just loving this art. I am suggesting it to everyone, do try out this awesome craft you will love it.

This design was very simple to make but the looks are too good as if its tough enough to arrange.

Will explain you in a very simple way:

Marquises flowers: Six marquises pieces with 4" purple strips make one marquises flower.

Teardrop flowers: 5 teardrop pieces with 2" yellow strips make 3 teardrop flowers.

Add some shaped marquises leaves as some add on beauty to your flowers and leaves. If you try out this design try it to arrange in a different way.

I hope everyone is liking my designs and trying out too. These design which i made are specially for new quillers who would like to try out simple quilling design pattern for better practice and start enjoy quilling.

I have got lot more design to come for you all. Keeping in mind each and every ones point of view i have created these designs to make it easier and look beautiful for you all.

Here i used 2" purple colour quilling strips and made marquises flowers out of it.
Used curls that add more beauty to the marquises flowers. Little buds to make the card look more filled in and beautiful.

Here this is a new card tried out by me. Just a simple teardrop flower with buds and tight circle to show as leaves.

Inspired from other bloggers i have started quilling and its quite long time i have done this. Now i am loving this craft and tried lot of new things, new designs and all that i can do with these quilling strips. I will come up with some 3D quilling craft too.

Here i tried out this greeting card with just 3 colors of paper. A simple and elegant design.

Just take 2" red 6 teardrop for making flowers. 2" green marquises leaves and 2" blue 9 tight circles. Just these simple designs and u can make any kind of designs with these shapes.

As i promised everyone I'm back with a new design. The most easy and the beautiful design on quilling which looks simple and elegant.

I have tried out a design just using tight circles. tight circles are the first and simple shape in quiilling. I never thought just by using a single shape a beautiful shape can be created in quilling pattern.

I just used are some small green strips of paper placed them as stems. Made some tight scrolls and placed alternatively on those stems.
Sounds simple right? And yes it was simple but the cards look that good too. Used just a single colour paper for quilling and that turned out to be a beautiful greeting card.

So those who are new to quilling try out these simple design. I'm sure you will like it.

Quilling craft is actually different from all other crafts and it really needs lot of patience and good imagination.

I got some plane cards and are there re lot of designs that i tried out. I am posting one of those designs to share with you all.

I am trying to make simple designs using very less colours, like with just two or three colours a beautiful pattern is created.

If u see all my crafts i have used lot of coloured papers. So thought of doing something new with less of colours which looks simple and elegant.

Here is the one design i tried out. I used only three coloured strips. I had given a frame effect using the strip and a simple design with 2 flowers and teardrops and colours. Each strip used is 2" strip just the curls strip are half strips.

Back with some more quilling patterns and new techniques in quilling. I am posting something after quite long time. So thought of showing how you can quill different things on different background.

This time I have done quilling on a plane glass photo frame.

I got this opportunity to do this art for one of our client. My manager was the one who approached me to this as she wanted to gift it to the client, as i always say handmade gifts are always beautiful and precious. And the gifts was obviously liked by one and all.

I had used simple quilling technique on the frame which actually changed the looks of the plane glass effect.

I used 3D flower technique with curls designs, used just 4 colours of quilling paper and it turned out to be a beautiful frame.

So thanks to my manager "Prachi" for giving me an opportunity showcase my talent.
Thanks to "Doris" for appreciating my work.

I hope you all will like this. This is how we can utilize the quilling art on different materials.

Tips on crystal glass painting, quilling craft

Hi Friends,

As i was away for long time i got lot of mails regarding glass painting, crystal glass painting and my Quilling work. Now I'm here to clarify all those queries.

Where do i get crystal pieces from?

To start with the crystal painting even i was not very sure about how it looks and where can i get that, so i broke some glass and made small pieces out of it. Later on i got to know we get these crystal pieces easily available in art store which are actually not glass pieces. Its plastic crystal pieces which is transparent and looks like glass pieces. So you can ask for crystal pieces anywhere in art store and can start doing crystal glass painting.

How do i stick those crystal pieces and what glue to use?

As you do regular glass painting draw an outline of the design and instead of using glass colours firstly apply glue (fevicol) on the design and then paste crystal pieces on it. After it dries and get stuck properly apply glass painting colours as per the design. The crystal effect embosses the particular design where you have the crystals which gives a different effect altogether.

QUILLING CRAFT:

1. Which glue i use for Quilling craft?

Its basically called as white glue. But i exactly don't know where will i get white glue, so I use FEVICOL MR.

2. On e of my visitor mailed me asking for fringed flower "Found your blog very interesting and your creations beautiful, as I make quilled greeting cards myself. Especially the fringed flowers. They look so dainty. Could you tell me whether you have cut with ordinary scissors or used a fringer ?"

I never use fringing machine as the flower wont look that good using a fringing machine.. I use normal scissors for fringing the flower as that gives natural effect.

Quilling Craft - Quillied colourful Wreath

There are lots of patterns and designs in quilling so coming up with new and wonderful designs. Here i have made a colourful wreath with quilling strips.

Materials:
1. Quilling strips (different colours)
2. Quilling needle
3. Glue

How to make:
1. Making loose circle flower (make 5): Roll 5 2" loose circles and glue to a 2 1/2" tight circle.

2. Bunny ear flowers (make 4): Glue together 3 pieces of 2 1/2" bunny ears. Roll 2 pieces of 2" green marquises and glue to flowers as leaves.

3. Fringed Flowers (make 8): Make 8 fringed flowers using 3" lengths of 1/4" width paper.

4. Greenery: Roll 4 green 2 1/2" teardrops, 10 green 1 1/2" loose scrolls.

5. Bow: For each loop of bow, position 2" length of 2 pieces red strip. Curl these slightly and glue the ends. Curve these into a loop and glue the ends and add a2" loose circle to the center of the bow.

Now position the flowers, leaves and scrolls together as shown in the picture.

Crystal Glass painting - Beautiful Red Roses

Here is my first try on something new to glass painting. This is mostly known to everyone but i have tried Crystal glass painting for the first time.

It was a bit confusing for me when i saw its pictures for the first time on a website, so thought of trying out from my side. The materials used were simple as of glass painting itself just an extra thing used were crystal glass pieces.

Materials used:
1. Glass (size as per your design)
2. Crystal pieces
3. Glue
4. Design for tracing
5. Glass paint colours
6. Black glass liner

How to make:

1. Just as you do normal glass painting trace design on glass using black glass liner.

2. If the designs has different portions then it will be more easier and more attractive. So apply glue on each portions and paste the crystal pieces on them.
After you apply the crystal pieces colour them as per the design. Follow the procedure as per the picture shown.

3. The same procedure applies to the whole design.

4. If you want you can do this technique only on flowers and do the normal glass painting for the other parts like leaves and all, this can give a different effect on your painting.

5. This way try out this new technique on glass painting. When i tried out i never thought this can turn out so amazing.

Friends, I would like to get suggestions for this painting technique as this is just a trial from my side. So if anyone thinks there can be different method for crystal glass painting feel free to share with me.

I am here with some more beautiful designs on Quilling craft. This design is also done on an envelope. This design has lot of flowers, leaves and curls.

The flowers are given 3D effect by using 2 colours of flowers and placing it one above the other. For more effect the flowers are placed above the stem and curls so that the flowers will be embossed out.

If you start trying out Quilling you can get any design any pattern. If you have good imagination power and creativity you can create any kind of designs.

Here i tried out a beautiful design on envelope.

This time the design got good scrolls, i tried out doing scrolls designs and it came out really good.

The flower pattern is a bit different. I have arranged each petal alternatively using different pattern and colours.

use two different colour marquises for petals and arrange it in a 3D effect.
Place one petal on the paper as normally you glue it and for the second petal give and embossed effect i.e. don't stick it to the paper instead just glue the tip of the petal and emboss it.

Some bunch of Fringed flower quilling craft is back again. This craft is a blend of beautiful and attractive colour papers.

Here i have done a fringed flower craft using two different colours.

For this you have to use two different contrast colours, for eg: purple and pink, red and yellow.

Here I'll explain you the making of this flower, as i said the two colour combination is your choice and can make more beautiful flowers.

How to make these bunch of fringed flowers:

1. Fringed Flower: Make 2 fringed flowers using 3 1/2" lengths of 3/8" width purple paper, 2 fringed flowers using 3 1/2" lengths of 3/8" width deep aqua paper, and 1 fringed flower using a 3 1/2" length of 3/8" aqua paper. make 2 fringed flowers using 3" lengths of 1/4th width pink and 1 fringed flower using a 3" length of 1/4" width purple paper.

2. Assemble the design in the following pattern. Add stems and scrolls using various lengths of green paper.

Making Quilling craft has just become easier for me day by day and i am gonna try lot more things and will be sharing lots of new work.

Here i made a garden of flowers using some bright colours.

Materials:

1. Quilling Strips (colours as required)
2. Quilling Needle
3. Glue

How to make:

1. Teardrop Flower: Glue together 3 orange 2" teardrops for petals and add a brown 2' tight circle for the flower's center.

2. Bunny ear flower: Glue together 4 purple 2" bunny ears for the petals and add a yellow 2" tight circle for flower's center. The stems are short lengths of green paper. Add 2" green 1" loose scrolls.

3. Leaves: Roll 3 meadow green 4" marquises for leaves.

Some new shapes on Quilling craft, this shape is called Grape roll, it similar to bell shape.

Materials required:

1. Quilling strip (any colour and quilling strip length as required)
2. Quilling needle
3. Glue

How to make:
1. To make the desired Grape roll shape take the quilling strip and begin rolling it, keeping the paper tight and even and glue the end edge.

2. Now gently push the center of the coil outward. To push it to the outward direction you can use your finger, pencil, or anything can can gently push to the outer direction.

3. Be careful to push it very slowly and gently so that you don't lose the shape.

In this make make as much shape you can and arrange it accordingly.

For the one i made follow the instructions below:

1. Grape roll flower: Glue together 2" length of narrow width yellow paper and 6" length of narrow width lavender paper. Roll the grape roll beginning with yellow paper and continue rolling the lavender paper.

2. Add stems using narrow width green paper. Make slender, grass like leaves by cutting points on one end.

3. Making Bee: Roll a black 4" tight circle for the head and a black 4" teardrop for the body. Glue these 2 shapes together.

4. Now roll 2 off white or gold colour 4" teardrop for the wings. Glue them to the bee at an angle sowing as wings.

Now assemble the designs as required. You can see the basic grape roll shape here.

This is the most simple in quilling technique

Just u need is a strip and quill it and get a loose circle. Make a teardrop of the loose circle i.e. just pinch the circle to one end and make a balloon shape.

Enjoy gifting these wonderful greeting cards to your friends or kids.

Quilling Craft - Fringed Golden Sunflower

Quilling craft is really a wonderful craft which i have ever been doing and i have gained a lot of interest in it.

Here is a beautiful fringed yellow sunflower i have made these fringes make the flower look more beautiful.

Materials :

1. Yellow strips
2. Green strips

How to make:

1. Fringed flowers: Make 3 fringed flowers of 3" length of 3/8" width gold trim. Glue 3" length of 1/8" width brown paper to the fringed paper and roll into a fringed flower beginning with the brown paper.

2. Greenery: Roll 7 green 3" marquises (shape of the leaves) leaves.

3. Buds: Cut 9 triangles from the width of gold trim of about 3" length. Roll each on the tool beginning with the wide end of the triangle, and glue the end. Glue these in groups of three to short lengths of narrow width green paper.

Arrange the flowers, the leaves and buds as shown in the picture.

In this way one more beautiful fringed sunflower is ready.

Valentines Day Gifts - Flower Bouquets

14th February has been known as Valentine's Day. This is the perfect occasion for romantic proposals and dating. On this day, gift your sweetheart with flowers, soft toys, candles, diamonds, chocolates, gift baskets, perfume, books, watches, jewellery and others. Shower love and enjoy the day with your beloved.

Flowers are always a common gift as the beautiful colour of flowers make every heart eager to say it loud, 'I Love You'. So let your loved one say this everyday as you can gift him / her flowers that wont ever fade its beauty. Yes, you heard it right these are duplex paper flowers that you can turn it into a beautiful handmade bouquet.

Method to make these Cosmos flowers:

1. Take some cotton to add for the bud cover the cotton using any dark colour duplex paper.

2. Add pips / pollen surrounding the small bud and tie it tightly. See the pic below you will come to know how the pips / pollens are arranged around the buds and attach aluminium wire to it.

3. Now take a square piece of duplex paper fold it into four parts cut the ends giving a round shape and pass the aluminium wire through the center of the round duplex paper.

4. Twist the paper slowly to give wrinkled effect to the flower.

5. In the same way make as much flowers you want and arrange a proper bouquet with some dried leaves and all that are easily available.

These flower bouquet can be gifted for any occasion. I have personally made this bouquet for my friends birthday. I hope she will like it a lot.

Quillied Greeting Card - Fringed Flower Heart

I hope everyone liked the necklace for Valentines day. There are lots of gifts that you can make gift your loved one choice is yours.

There is a common choice that every one prefers to give, i.e. a beautiful Valentine greeting card. So girls get ready to learn this beautiful heart shaped greeting card and gift it to your special someone.

Here is the method to make this card:

1. Take Quilling strip of the 1/4" width paper with the length of 3" and fringe them very finely.

2. Arrange these fringed flowers on the gift tag in a heart shape.

3. Make around 12 green loose scrolls and leaves and add to the heart shape.

Note: Fringe means to cut one end of the paper very finely, if you make the fringe think the beauty of the flowers wont be there. So try cutting the strips finely. Look at the picture you will come to know.

So here is the beautiful fringed flower heart ready for Valentines Day.

Quilling craft designs- Bunny with Flowers

Now came out with new creation in quilling. There are lot of this i tried out and majorly those were floral craft. So thought of doing something different and here i tried out a cute bunny.

This is a real cute greeting card which i made as the bunny came out to be really good.

As i had mentioned in my earlier post that I'll be trying out miniature quilling. this is one of miniature quilling.

Here is the method of making miniature bunny and flowers:

1. Bunny: Roll a brown 18" teardrop for the body (teardrop is the shape of the body, check out in the pic). Add 7" teardrop for the head and 2 brown 2.5" marquises for the ears. Roll a brown 3" brown teardrop for the foot and a brown 2" loose circle for the tail.

2. Marquise Flower (make 2): Glue together 5 dark pink 2" marquises (marquises is the shape of the petal, it looks like eyes). Add 1.5" yellow tight circle for flower's center.

3. Bunny Ear flower (make 3): Glue together 3 purple 2.5" bunny ears (bunny ears is the shape of the petals of purple flowers shown in the pic) and add a 1.5" white tight circle for flower's center.

4. Stems and leaves: Add green stem to each flower. Roll a 5" green marquise and a 4" green marquise for the leaves.

Dried Bamboo leaves and hay Craft - Birds Nest

This is not the first time I'm trying out some craft using dried and waste things. Even earlier i have done a craft using Waste Branches - Rose on Branches.

So here I'm back again with some more craft using dried bamboo leaves and dried grass.

Materials:
1. Dried bamboo leaves and hey or grass
2. Aluminium wire
3. Jute thread
4. Some artificial birds (for more decoration)
5. Glue

How to make:

1. Take a long aluminium wire and apply some glue all over the wire.

2. Now paste the dried bamboo leaves and hey all over the aluminium wire thickly and tie it with jute thread tightly.

3. Now roll the aluminium wire slowly making sure the leaves and hey does not fall, this make the nest base.

Here is how the base of the nest will look like.

4. Now tie the bamboo leaves together at one end and leave the other end, now make it look like a clown cap.

5. Next put it above the nest base and tie all ends including the base and keep a small hole in any one side to look like nest.

6. Next get some birds and attach it along the holes to get a natural look.

Here is a beautiful looking birds nest ready to hang on to any corner of your house.

Quilling designs - The flying bird

I am trying out more and more designs in Quilling and I am really loving this craft.
Friends do try out this interesting craft and you will enjoy it. It just looks like simple paper strips but, the creativity is up to you how you can make different designs and patterns out of it. You can make just any figures and any thing out of it and you can make it on any material.

In my next post I'll show the basic shapes of quilling craft so that it will be much easier for you all.

Paper Foil Craft - The golden Nightingale

I came up with some more interesting craft. The paper foil craft is very interesting and looks really beautiful. Its nothing to say difficult to make. You will enjoy making different things out of these paper foils. I used silver paper foil which is easily available in market but, it was difficult for me to get the golden foils so nothing to think much just got some cadbury chocolates and got the golden foils.

Materials you need:
1. Paper foils (Golden and Silver)
2. Card paper
3. Glue

How to make it:

1. Make sure the design you want to make and cut the paper foils accordingly.

2. Here I first cut the small branches using silver foil then cut the birds using golden foil.

3. Cut the small leaves you need accordingly.

4. Make sure whatever you need for the design is cut ready.

5. Now apply glue very carefully on each pieces and stick it on the card paper.

Paper foil is a very delicate material so be very careful while cutting small parts of designs.

In this way you can make lot of different kind of designs using these simple foil papers.

How to make Tea Bag Folding Craft

Tea bag folding is a paper folding technique, using tea bags or small printed pieces of paper to form a geometric design. It is also known as kaleidoscope folding. Tea bag folding has their own unique techniques. You can experiment a lot of folding techniques and have fun.

It was difficult for me to find the Tea Bag Fold Paper, so as its my first try i made it out of gift wrapping paper.

Here I would like to share one of the simple folding technique with you all.

Materials you need:
1. Tea bag folding paper (Its ready paper which shows square pieces of design or as your first try you can try using gift wrapping paper)
2. Scissor
3. Glue
4. Card paper (for greeting card)

How to make?

Follow these simple folding techniques shown in the picture.

1. Take a square piece of paper (tea bag marble piece) and fold it from one corner to other as shown in the picture.

2. In the second fold you need to take the other two ends and fold it to the center point.

3. The second fold should like this.

4. Now make the fourth fold from the folded two ends as shown in the doted lines.

5. The fourth fold should like this.

6. Make four such similar folds and arrange it accordingly.

Now make a greeting card out of these simple tea bag designs.

Here is my greeting card ready made out of Tea bag folding craft. I will come up with more on tea bag fold technigues and greeting cards.

Duplex Paper Flowers - The Daffodil Flowers

Duplex paper craft is back again. Today they are Daffodil flowers the real beautiful flowers.

Daffodil flowers have a trumpet-shaped structure and the background is star-shaped.

So lets learn how to make this beautiful craft.

Materials:
1. Duplex paper (yellow, Red, Green)
2. Green crape paper
3. Pollens/pips (white, black)
4. Aluminium wire
5. Thread
6. Cotton fibre
7. Glue

How to make Daffodil flowers:

1. Firstly for the trumpet-shaped structure cut apart a piece of 10cm x 5.5 cm in yellow duplex paper.

2. Stick the portion from one end to other and make a cylindrical structure.

3. Take some 5-6 pollens tie the bottom with the wire.

4. Hold the pollen at the centre of the cylindrical structure and tie the bottom with the thread and in this way the trumpet-shaped structure is ready.

5. Cut apart 2 pieces of 7.5cm x 4cm petal shape, the shape you can take of as a normal leaf shape (a long leaf shape).

6. Now take one petal apply glue on it and place a piece of aluminium wire in the centre and place the other petal on it.

7. In the similar way make 6 more petals.

8. Arrange three petals uniformly around the trumpet-shaped structure.

9. Again arrange other three petals uniformly in such way that each petals stands in between the previous two.

10. Now make long leaves same way as petals are made using Green duplex paper.

11. Arrange some cotton fibre on the stem of the flower ans start wrapping using green crape paper or even you can use green tape. Arrange leaves accordingly.

Now here is a beautiful Daffodil flowers ready.

Quilling Design - Lord Ganesha

I am back again with some more Quilling craft. This craft is so vast that its actually to say its never ending.

See here my new work on this craft. I have made Lord Ganesha out of this paper strips and I am very happy it came out so well. These are just not simple strips, you can create all sorts of beautiful art out of this simple strips.

Now I am going to learn on Miniature Quilling which is much more tough than these but miniature Quilling looks just too beautiful.

Wait for more on Quilling craft till then let everyone be blessed with the powers of Lord Ganesha.

Pencil Sketch - The Flamingo Bird

Pencil sketch is always one of my favourite drawing. Its easy and you will need to be very careful when u use the different pencils and the different stones of those pencil

Here I'll tell you the different pencils and the shades to which it need to be used.
Sketch using pencil looks attractive because of the use of light and dark shades.

Here is different pencil and different tones we can use using the particular pencil.
1. 2H pencil - This is used for "very light tone"
2. HB pencil - This is used for "light tone"
3. 2B pencil - This is used for "middle tone"
4. 4B pencil - This is used for "dark tone"
5. 6B pencil - This is used for "very dark tone"

You need to be careful about the short strokes, long strokes, vertical strokes etc.. In pencil sketching detailing is very important.

You need to study the sketch which you are going to make like for animals you need to be careful about the head study, shading of the side parts of any animal, hand hair's shadings and all.
In case of landscape the trees, birds the roots etc.

Quilling Pattern - Quillied Earrings

I am just loving this art, make whatever you want with these paper strips.

I made a pair of earrings out of this simple Quilling art. Just make the coil shape loosen it as much as you need and then apply glue to one end get the earring hooks and get your own accessories ready.

Isn't it amazing art, you can make different shapes sizes of accessories out of this.

I truly recommend to all craft lovers try this amazing art. You will enjoy making lot of these varieties of patters and designs for sure.

Gothic Font Calligraphy

Calligraphy the art of beautiful writing. Yes, learning calligraphy is not that easy but very interesting and a great art.

Here I made a Christmas Greeting card using Gothic Font calligraphy. Gothic is an Old English Style Font. I used "Cut Nib Pens" for Gothic Font.

Try out some fonts using a right side cut marker or as i used the cut nib pen.

Practice a lot and you can be a good calligrapher.
